Regina Joseph

Receptionist

4 Years (and 17 Years as an Off-Duty Peace Officer) at the Foundation

I serve the people of Texas by connecting guests with the Foundation. Every person who calls or visits us is unique and I am here to help them on their journey.

Most Impactful Experience at the Foundation

Because I am the first person everyone sees when they enter the Foundation, I consider it a pleasure and honor to be the face and voice of such a great organization.

What the Pandemic Changed

Most Heard Phrases

Crises, new normal, come on man, social anxiety, mental illness, and long-haul COVID.

Stockpiled

Everything! Meat, frozen vegetables, peanut butter, soup, masks, disposable gloves, paper products, hand sanitizer wipes, sprays, soap, and detergent.

Motivation

Family, coworkers, prayer, exercise, and reading. Technology is great for helping us stay connected with those we love and care about.

View of Our Sector & Work

Our grantees were extraordinarily committed to addressing COVID’s effects on everything from homelessness to education to front-line workers. It was amazing to see how they persevered. The Foundation was the same – it exemplified its mission when it really mattered.

What I’m Looking Forward To

I am most excited about the Wilson Historic District. It’s been a part of Dallas for more than 40 years and there are new opportunities for the Foundation and other nonprofits. It is creating new, collaborative ideas that will help Texas.
